If you meet either A or B requirements, consider applying for an MA in Applied Cognitive Science.

June 5, 2026 (1st application round)
First day for submitting applications for the qualification procedure.
Applications must be sent by mail or submitted in person to the Registry Office (Urudžbeni ured) of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Candidates need to prepare the following documentation:
- Transcript of grades: exams passed up to the moment of application;
- Motivation letter (in English, length: 500–1000 words). Candidates are advised to consider the following points when writing the motivation letter:
- Your application letter should give us some insight into who you are.
- It should be structured to provide some answers to what, why, and how.
- It should include: past experiences, current activities and interests (curricular and extracurricular), skills and achievements related to the program, goals and expectations from the program, reasons for selecting our program.
- One recommendation letter from a professor from the undergraduate program (in English or Croatian);
- Proof of English language proficiency (any of the following):
- TOEFL: minimum 230 computer-based, 570 paper-based, or 88 internet-based;
- o proof of having completed a BA degree in English;
- (minimum) B2 level on an exam taken at the Center for Foreign Languages at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb (more information about test dates and format can be found on the Center’s website);
- Copy of an ID card (or passport);
- CV in English or Croatian (format of your choice; include all contact details: address, mobile phone number, email address).

Interviews with candidates
All interviews will take place at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb - Room: TBA (to be announced).

Publication of results
The ranking list of candidates will be available no later than 10:00 AM on the website of the Center for Cognitive Science.
There is a 24-hour period from the time of publication of the ranking list for appeals. Appeals must be submitted in person to the Student Affairs Office (Referada) of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
Students who appear on the list of admitted candidates must confirm their intention to enroll by sending an email to: cogsci.admission@ffzg.unizg.hr.
September 10 and September 11, 2026
Enrollment
Enrollment is done in person at the Student Affairs Office (Referada) of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. To enroll, it is necessary to have the undergraduate degree diploma or document confirming your graduation.
