Join us for a thought-provoking talk: What does it mean to know one’s language? The talk will deal with the complex nature of spontaneous dialogic communication, as the most direct window into knowledge of the language and as a unique cognitive challenge. Our guest lecturer is Mirjam Fried, a renowned cognitive linguist and construction grammarian.

He is currently a professor of cognitive science at the Jagiellonian University, Cracow, Poland. His main research interests include social robotics, usability engineering, affective computing, and creativity. He has set up several CogSci programs and research centres, so he can answer any questions you may have about CogSci.
